Akshay Kumar sustains eye injury during Housefull 5 filming: Reports

Actor Akshay Kumar is currently busy filming the last schedule of the comedy franchise's fifth installment, Housefull 5. However, as per reports, Akshay got injured while performing a stunt.

According to sources cited by Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar got injured while performing a stunt as an object flew into Akshay's eye. The crew immediately called an ophthalmologist to the set. The doctor bandaged his eye and advised him to rest, while the rest of the cast continued with the shoot. Despite the injury, Akshay is determined to return to the set as soon as possible, as the film is in its final stages of production, and he is eager to avoid any delays.

The film began production earlier this year in Europe, with the cast shooting for 40 days aboard a cruise ship. The journey took them from Newcastle to Spain, Normandy, Honfleur, and finally back to Plymouth.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 is set to hit theaters on June 6, 2025. The film brings back familiar faces from the franchise, including Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, alongside the return of Abhishek Bachchan, Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Panday, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nargis Fakhri.

New additions to the cast include Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Johnny Lever, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangda Singh, and Soundarya Sharma.
