Akshay Kumar stands out as Lord Shiva in Kannappa, fans say "he shines in cameos"

Akshay Kumar has recently starred in Kannappa alongside some of the biggest names, including Prabhas, Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, among others. Akshay portrayed the role of Lord Shiva in the film.

Although he had a cameo, he left a lasting impact on his fans with his strong performance. Several viewers took to their social media accounts to compliment Akshay’s powerful portrayal of Lord Shiva, with some of the fans calling his portrayal one of the film’s standout moments.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the recently released film features an ensemble cast, including Vishnu Manchu, Madhoo, Arpit Ranka, R. Sarathkumar, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Raghu Babu, and Mohan Babu.

Vishnu Manchu plays the titular role of Thinnadu (Kannappa), the fearless warrior-turned-devotee who transformed into the ultimate devotee of Lord Shiva. Mohanlal will star as Kirata and Prabhas as Rudra.

Kannappa revolves around a sceptical hunter who attains divine enlightenment through Lord Shiva, undergoing a profound transformation into his ardent disciple.

According to Moneycontrol film critic, “Kannappa has its moments in the second half with a touching climax. While the first half and dialogues are weak, fans of devotional stories and the star cast might find it worth watching on the big screen.” The film received a rating of 2.5 out of 5 stars.
