Akshay Kumar is returning to the big screen with yet another patriotic film, and fans are eagerly anticipating its release.
This year, he will be seen in the role of an Air Force officer, portraying the story of India’s first airstrike in his upcoming film, Sky Force. Set to hit theaters on January 24, the film promises to deliver an action-packed, emotional narrative that celebrates India’s valor and history.
Sky Force will be introducing the already famous internet personality, Veer Pahariya who will be playing the role of an Air Force officer alongside Akshay Kumar.
The creators of Sky Force unveiled the first motion poster on social media today (December 4), featuring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya standing prominently in Air Force officer uniforms.
The caption read, "This New Year, soar into the skies with #SkyForce – the untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike ever. Trailer out tomorrow. In cinemas on 24th January 2025."
Sky Force was rescheduled from October 2, 2024, to January 24, 2025. A source revealed, "Dinesh Vijan, Amar Kaushik, and the team believe that Sky Force is a perfect fit for the Republic Day period. It’s packed with action, drama, emotions, thrills, and a strong patriotic theme. Set against the backdrop of India’s first airstrike on Pakistan, the film has shaped up very well,"
In addition to Akshay and Veer, Sky Force also features Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan. Recently, a video of Veer and Sara filming a song went viral on social media. The rumored former couple performed a dance to a Garhwali song, which is said to be a promotional track.
Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, Sky Force is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Amar Kaushik. The trailer will be unveiled in Mumbai tomorrow (5th January 2025), with the star cast, directors, and producers present at the event. The film is centered around India's retaliatory strike on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war.
