Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was seen enjoying his latest movie Sitaare Zameen Par with Army Jawans ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
The actor is seen enjoying his own movie with the army men around him, and the video has now gone viral. He sat together on the bench with the jawans as they enjoyed some time off from their busy duties.
A paparazzi account posted the video of Aamir with the soldiers on Instagram. Aamir Khan sported a blue kurta with pants for his visit.
Talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan decided to skip the OTT release of his movie. He instead released the movie of YouTube on payment model.
After its theatrical release in June, audiences can watch the movie for Rs 100 now. And the movie is available for viewing for 48 hours post your payment.
In an interview with The Times of India, Aamir spoke about his decision to release the movie on Youtube and why he felt it was right. He said that the decision was necessary since "we can only reach 2–3% of our population through theaters, even for the biggest hits."
“We are able to reach only 2-3% of our population through theatres, even for the biggest hits. For a film like Sitaare Zameen Par, around one crore people would have watched it in theatres. In the absence of enough theatres being built, this model is perhaps the only way to reach the vast majority of India—especially with rising internet penetration,” he said in the interview to TOI.
