Aamir Khan shares exciting update on Sitaare Zameen Par's release date

Aamir Khan, during the Republic Day 2025 celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, shared exciting updates on his upcoming projects, including Sitaare Zameen Par, the highly anticipated sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par.

During his interaction with the media about his memorable experience at the 2025 Republic Day celebrations, Aamir Khan was asked if any of his upcoming films would feature locations from Gujarat.

Aamir Khan, who participated in the Republic Day 2025 celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, provided updates on his upcoming projects, including Sitaare Zameen Par, the much-awaited sequel to his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par.

Aamir Khan has reconnected with Darsheel Safary after 16 years, the actor who portrayed young Ishaan in Taare Zameen Par. Talking about his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, which continues Ishaan's journey, Aamir revealed at an event that the movie is scheduled for release by the end of this year, with a Christmas debut in mind.

"My next film as a lead actor is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film, I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun," he said.

During his interaction with the media about his memorable experience at the 2025 Republic Day celebrations, Aamir Khan was asked if any of his upcoming films would feature locations from Gujarat. In response, he shared that the climax of Sitaare Zameen Par was filmed in Vadodara. He said, "The sequel to Taare Zameen Par is Sitaare Zameen Par, and the climax of that movie was shot in Vadodara."

Speaking about his long association with Gujarat, Aamir also reflected on how the state has evolved over the years. "There have been a lot of changes in Vadodara. There are many luxurious buildings now, and the roads have improved significantly. When I first came here, I was probably around 12 years old. A lot of changes have taken place in this area since then," he stated.

"When I was young, many of my father's films were shot in Gujarat. I was very small at that time, so I would come here. Today, all those memories have come rushing back," he added.

Alongside his acting role, Aamir Khan is also producing Sitaare Zameen Par, with Genelia D'Souza expected to play a significant role in the film.
