Madhya Pradesh will go to polls in four phases on April 19, April 26, May 7 and May 13 in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the poll panel has announced. The results will be declared on June 4.

In 2019, the Lok Sabha elections were spread in Madhya Pradesh across four phases from April 29 to May 19. The results were declared on May 23, 2019.
The state traditionally witnesses a direct clash between the BJP and the Congress.

In the 2019 polls, the state recorded a voter turnout of 71.2%, which is higher than the national average.
The BJP virtually swept the elections in the state, winning all but 1 seats in Madhya Pradesh.

The Congress managed to win just a single seat in Kamal Nath's stronghold of Chhindwara. The saffron party clocked an impressive vote share of 58% while Congress bagged 34.5% of the votes.
