The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be conducted in seven phases as per the announcement made by the Election Commission of India. The fifth phase of polls will be held on May 20.

Date of issue of gazette notification: April 26
Last date for candidates to submit their nominations: May 3 (Friday)
Last date for the withdrawal of candidature: May 6 (Monday)
Date of polls: May 20 (Monday)
Counting of votes: June 4 (Tuesday)
In the fifth leg of the seven phased General Elections 2024, a total of 49 constituencies across 8 states will go to polls.
Here is state-wise break-up of seats for polls in phase 5:
Bihar – 5 seats
Jharkhand – 3 seats
Maharashtra – 13 seats
Odisha – 5 seats
Uttar Pradesh – 14 seats
West Bengal – 7 seats
Jammu and Kashmir – 1 seat
Ladakh – 1 seat
