Early Warning Systems Not Advanced Enough to Accurately Predict Wayanad-Style Disasters: Scientists

The landslide in Kerala’s Wayanad district will go down in history as one of the biggest catastrophes of the decade, as over 350 people are reported dead and about 200 still missing. Scientists at Cochin University of Science and Technology says that early warning systems, despite many advancements over recent years, still remain unpredictable for events like this.
