Rajiv Ranjan Singh Alias Lalan Singh, representing the JD(U), currently serves as the Member of Parliament for the Munger constituency. In the Lok Sabha elections of 2019, he secured victory by receiving 528,762 votes, while Nilam Devi of the INC received 360,825 votes.
In the Munger Lok Sabha election of 2014, Veena Devi of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) emerged victorious with 352,911 votes. The runner-up candidate was Rajiv Ranjan Singh Alias Lalan Singh from the JD(U), who secured 243,827 votes.
