As the Delhi Assembly elections approach, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a list of its star campaigners for the upcoming polls.

Key figures in the campaign include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Other heavyweights such as Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Manohar Lal Khattar, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Yogi Adityanath will also play pivotal roles. Additionally, Union ministers like Giriraj Singh, Hardeep Singh Puri, and Devendra Fadnavis are set to participate in the campaign. The list also features prominent leaders such as Himanta Biswa Sarma, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Smriti Irani, and Anurag Thakur, among others.

In a parallel development, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal filed his nomination from the New Delhi seat on Wednesday, marking the beginning of the final leg of the election preparations for all major parties, including the BJP and Congress. Kejriwal's nomination sets the stage for what promises to be a fiercely contested election on February 5, 2025.

The nomination process for the Delhi Assembly elections began on January 10, and as of January 13, 85 candidates have filed their nominations. Among the prominent figures to submit their papers are Chief Minister Atishi from Kalkaji and her challenger Alka Lamba, alongside AAP MLA Somnath Bharti from Malviya Nagar.

In the 2020 Assembly elections, AAP emerged victorious with a landslide, securing 62 out of 70 seats. The BJP managed to secure just eight seats, while Congress failed to win a single seat. AAP also dominated the 2015 elections, winning 67 seats.

The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections is scheduled for February 8, 2025.
