The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the results for the UP Police Constable Exam 2024 on its official website, uppbpb.gov.in, today, November 21. This announcement is a crucial step in the extensive recruitment process aimed at filling 60,244 constable posts across the state.

The written examination, conducted on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, took place across 1,174 centres in 67 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Over 48 lakh candidates participated, including more than 6 lakh aspirants from other states, making it one of the largest recruitment drives in the country.

The written examination for direct recruitment to the position of Police Constable (Civil Police) - 2023, conducted in 10 shifts, has resulted in the normalization of scores as per the rules and notification. This normalization process accounts for the merit of candidates and the applicable reservation provisions in Uttar Pradesh. As a result, approximately 2.5 times the number of vacancies in each category, totaling 1,74,316 candidates, have been selected for document verification and the physical standard test. All candidates who meet the same cut-off marks are included. The normalized cut-off marks for document verification and physical standard test across various categories are as follows:

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had hinted on X (formerly Twitter) that the results would be declared by the end of October.

Candidates can follow these steps to access their scorecards:

Step 1. Visit the official UPPRPB website: uppbpb.gov.in.

Step 2. Look for the notification titled ‘UP Police Constable Result 2024’ and click on it.

Step 3. Enter your login details, such as registration number and date of birth.

Step 4. Submit the credentials to view your scorecard.

Step 5. Download and save the scorecard for future reference.

Candidates who pass the written examination will proceed to the Physical Endurance Test (PET). The PET will assess physical fitness and endurance, critical attributes for the constable role.

The scrutiny of records and the physical standard test (DV/PST) for the eligible candidates mentioned above are scheduled to take place in the third week of December 2024. Detailed information regarding the venue, date, and time will be made available shortly on the Board's official website: https://uppbpb.gov.in/.
