NEET PG Exam Date 2024: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to announce the rescheduled date for the NEET PG 2024 exam today, July 2, 2024. This comes after Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's statement on Saturday indicating the announcement would arrive by "Monday or Tuesday."
The NEET PG, originally scheduled for June 23, was postponed just hours before the exam due to "precautionary measures" following allegations surrounding the integrity of the NEET UG exam. Dr. Abhijat Sheth, NBEMS President, had earlier assured via social media that the NEET PG exam itself was not compromised.
The postponement came after the NEET PG was initially rescheduled from its original March 3 date to July 7. Applications for the exam were open from April 16 to May 6, 2024.
This development follows criticism faced by the National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting the NEET UG exams, over alleged irregularities. Protests erupted nationwide demanding reforms and even the disbanding of the NTA.
The Ministry of Education has responded by forming a committee of experts to recommend improvements in the exam process, data security protocols, and the overall functioning of the NTA.
