In a shocking turn of events, a Class 12 student was detained for allegedly sending hoax bomb threat emails to multiple schools in Delhi. The student, sources reveal, devised the plan in a desperate attempt to avoid taking his school exams.
The incident came to light after a series of bomb threats over the past week put the Delhi Police on high alert. On Thursday alone, around 10 educational institutions received bomb threats via email, sparking panic and disruptions.
Investigations revealed that the student had sent bomb threats on at least six occasions, each time targeting different schools except his own. Officials reported that in one instance, he tagged 23 schools in a single email to divert suspicion from himself.
According to police sources, the student believed that issuing bomb threats would lead to exam cancellations, allowing him to escape the stress of his studies. To make his threats appear credible, he targeted multiple schools and crafted emails designed to incite fear and chaos.
Following his detention, the police have launched a detailed investigation into the student’s activities. Officials are also working closely with the affected schools to ensure safety protocols are in place and to prevent such incidents in the future.
