The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to close the application window for its prestigious Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025. With the deadline fast approaching, eligible students who are the only child of their parents are encouraged to apply immediately on the official website, cbse.gov.in.

The last date to submit the online application form is October 23, 2025. The board has actively urged all its recognized schools to maximize participation and ensure all eligible candidates apply for the benefit.

This scholarship scheme is a significant initiative by the CBSE to promote the education of the girl child and provide financial support to families with a single daughter. It offers monetary assistance to meritorious girls currently in Classes XI and XII.

Before applying, candidates must carefully review the following eligibility requirements:

• Academic Qualification: The applicant must have secured 70% or more marks in the CBSE Class 10th examination.
• Current Study: She must be enrolled in Class 11th or 12th in a CBSE-affiliated school.
• Family Status: The applicant must be the only child of her parents.

For regular students, the school's tuition fee should not exceed Rs 1,500 per month for Class 11th and Rs 2,000 per month for Class 12th.

• For NRI applicants, the maximum tuition fee is Rs 6,000 per month.
• Family Income: The total annual income of the family from all sources must not exceed ₹8 Lakh.

Selected students will receive a scholarship amount of Rs 1,000 per month. The scholarship awarded in the previous academic session (2024) is also being renewed for eligible students continuing in Class XII.

Interested and eligible candidates should follow these steps:

Step 1. Visit the official CBSE Academic website at cbse.gov.in.

Step 2. Navigate to the 'Scholarships' or 'Single Girl Child Scholarship' section.

Step 3. Complete the online application form with all required details.

Step 4. Provide necessary bank account information, including Bank Name, Account Number, IFSC Code, and Bank Address.

Step 5. Crucially, applicants must put their signature on the application form. Applications submitted without a signature will be summarily rejected.

With the final date of October 23, 2025, just around the corner, eligible single girl children are advised not to wait until the last moment.
