The company was incorporated on 14th April, 1987 as a public limited
 company in the state of Andhra Pradesh and obtained certificate of
 commencement of business on 16th April , 1987. The company has
 entered into a technical collaboration with Hyundai Corporation.  The
 company manufacture resin bonded, rockwool. These rock fibres can be
 transformed into  number of product that provide highly effective
 thermal insulation fire and sound proofing in commercial and
 Industrial application.
 
 2002-Rockwool India Ltd has informed BSE that Mr R K Ahooja, who has
 been appointed as Special Director of BIFR on the Board of the
 Company, has been discharged as Director of the Company with effect
 from October 28, 2002.
