Kaveri Engineering Industries Ltd.

Kaveri Engineering Industries Limited began as a partnership firm 
 styled   Kaveri   Structurals,   which   was   established   at 
 Tiruchirapalli in 1962, just about the time industries like  BHEL 
 started  their  activities at that centre.   Kaveri  Structurals, 
 which  started  off with structural Fabrication in a  small  way, 
 and, within a short span of time emerged as a quality manufacturer 
 of   capital  Machinery  and  process  equipment  for   chemicals, 
 petrochemicals,   fertilisers,  refineries  and  other  core   sector
 
 industries.   The  partnership firm was Succeeded  by  a  private 
 Limited  Company  styled Kaveri Engineering  Industries  Private 
 Limited  in 1976 which was subsequently converted into  a  public 
 Limited Company in 1978.
 
 Kaveri is now a leading supplier of capital machinery and process 
 equipment to the major public sector undertakings established  in 
 different parts of the country.
 
 In 1987, the Company went public with an Issue of 6,50,000 Equity 
 Shares  of  Rs.  10/- each for cash at  par  aggregating  to  Rs. 
 65,00,000/- and the Issue was fully subscribed.
 
 The  Company  was  promoted by Shri V D Swami, who  is  a  well-known
 
 industrialist, and has been instrumental in promoting, apart from 
 KEL,  M/s.  V  D Swami & Co. Ltd., a  reputed  export  house  and 
 erection and contracting engineers.
