GSL (India) Ltd.

1982 
 - The Company was incorporated on 8th January in Gujarat.  It was
 promoted as a joint venture in collaboration with Sudershan Silk
 Mills, Mumbai & GSTC.  The Company manufactures Synthetic Blended
 yarn.  It also exports yarn.
 
 1984 
 - 14,80,000 shares taken up by promoters, etc. (7,50,000 shares by
 Gujarat State Textile Corporation, Ltd. and 7,29,993 shares by other
 promoters, etc. 14,20,000 shares offered at par to the public in May
 1984.
 
 1988 
 - The financial institutions approved an expansion-cum-upgradation
 scheme.
 
 1989 
 - 24,450 shares forfeited.  During Jan./Feb. 1990, 5,80,000 shares
 issued as Rights at par in prop. 1:5.  Only 5,78,440 shares taken up.
  Simultaneously another 29,000 shares issued at par to  employees. 
 (All were taken up).
 
 1990 
 - Effective from 15th November, the name of the company was changed
 from Gujarat Spinners Ltd. to GSL (India) Ltd.
 
 1992 
 - 14,03,600 Rights shares issued at par (prop. 2:5).  Additional
 2,04,640 shares allotted to retain oversubscription.  Another 7,600
 shares allotted at par to employees.
 
 1993 
 - The Company undertook to set up a wind energy profit of 2 MW 
 capacity at Lamba village, dist. Jamnagar, Gujarat.
 
 1994 
 - The Spindleage was increased from 30016 to 47536.  The company
 diversified into generation of wind power, undertook to move into 
 manufacture of sewing thread.  Also, the project for 17280 spindles
 of sewing threat was under implementation.
 
 1996 
 - The project for 17,280 spindles of sewing thread was delayed due to
 non-availability of funds in time.
 
 
 - 10,00,000 shares issued at a premium of Rs 67.91 per share on 
 preferential basis as per SEBI guidelines.
 
 1997 
 - 35,98,478 No. of equity shares of Rs 10/- each placed privately as
 per SEBI Guidelines.
 
 2007
 -Company has created email id for registering complaints by investor
