Telangana is expected to have a wet start to the week, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad issuing a ‘yellow alert’ with a forecast of rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds across the state till Thursday, June 12.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected at several places across Telangana over the next week. This change in weather will help cool the region and may also benefit farmers ahead of the kharif sowing season.
In Hyderabad, the sky will remain mostly cloudy, and isolated spells of rain are expected over the next few days. The temperature in the city is not likely to go beyond 36 degrees Celsius, offering a slight drop in the usual summer heat, Times Now reported.
The IMD has said that all districts in Telangana may experience thunderstorms, mostly during the afternoons and evenings. There could also be gusty winds and lightning. People are advised to avoid open spaces during stormy weather for safety.
Weather forecast for Hyderabad:
June 9–11: Expect partly cloudy skies, with chances of rain, thunderstorms, or even dust storms. Day temperatures will stay around 36 degrees Celsius while nights may remain around 26 degrees Celsius.
June 12: The weather will likely turn more cloudy, with higher chances of rain. Temperatures will dip slightly, ranging between 34 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius.
Winds may blow at speeds of 30–40 kmph in some parts of the state. The Met Department has asked people to be careful, especially while outdoors, according to a report by Munsif Daily.
