Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) recieved light to moderate rain on Sunday morning under the influence of a powerful Western Disturbance. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alert for the region.
The maximum temperature is expected to stay near 18 degrees Celsius, and the minimum is likely to hover around 11 degrees Celsius.
Entire North India is expected to see a shift in weather patterns as another powerful Western Disturbance has arrived to begin the month on a wet and snowy note.
The IMD has confirmed that under the influence of two such systems in quick succession, light to moderate, scattered or fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall are likely over the Western Himalayan region from January 31 to February 3.
Weather officials said that this system could bring one or two spells of light rain on February 1, along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds reaching up to 40 kmph.
On February 2 and 3, weather conditions are likely to stabilise with moderate fog likely during the morning hours. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 18 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature may hover around 11-12 degrees Celsius.
On February 4 and 6, Tuesday, moderate fog is expected to persist during morning hours with day temperatures likely at around 18-19 degrees Celsius.
