A 13-year-old girl has allegedly been gang-raped by three boys aged between 14 and 15 in Karnataka’s Hubballi, News18 reported citing police reports.

Authorities revealed that the incident occurred while the girl’s parents were away. The boys, who reside in the same locality, took the girl to an abandoned area where they sexually assaulted her.

Hubballi-Dharwad police commissioner N Shashi Kumar stated that the girl, aged between 12 and 13, has been provided protection, and all three boys have been detained.

“Two of the boys are high school students, while the third appears to be a school dropout,” Kumar explained.

The girl’s parents reported that the boys had threatened her, claiming they had recorded a video of the assault. The police are seizing the accused’s mobile phones and conducting a thorough investigation, he added.
