New Volvo XC60 launched in India at Rs 71.90 lakh

The Volvo XC60 is available in a single-spec B5 Ultra variant.

Volvo Car India has launched the updated Volvo XC60, priced at Rs 71.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest iteration of Volvo's popular luxury SUV comes with enhanced features, a mild-hybrid powertrain, and a refreshed set of safety and convenience technologies, aiming to strengthen the company’s position in the Indian premium SUV segment. It is priced Rs 1.15 lakh over the outgoing model, which was available for Rs 70.75 lakh (ex-showroom).

Volvo XC60 Powertrain

The new Volvo XC60 is powered by a mild-hybrid petrol engine, designated as the B5. This 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system that supports improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 250hp and 360Nm of torque, ensuring a balanced blend of performance and refinement. The powertrain is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, driving all four wheels through Volvo's all-wheel-drive system. The top speed is limited to 180kmph.

Volvo XC60 Specifications

The updated XC60 measures 4,708mm in length, 1,902mm in width, and 1,653mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,865mm. Ground clearance is set at 216mm, making it suitable for varied Indian road conditions. The boot capacity stands at 483 litres, and the SUV rides on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The XC60 boasts a braked towing capacity of 2,400kg, reflecting its versatile character.

The XC60 is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, four-zone climate control, a wireless smartphone charger, and a PM 2.5 air purifier. The infotainment system is an 11.2-inch touchscreen with built-in Google services, including Google Assistant and Google Maps. Seating comfort is enhanced with electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, a massage feature for the driver, and Nappa leather upholstery. Other notable features include ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and a head-up display.

The updated model is available in seven exterior colour options -- Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Vapour Grey, Forest Lake, Bright Dusk and Mulberry Red. For the interiors, you can opt for White or Charcoal with Nappa leather upholstery.

Safety continues to be a hallmark of Volvo, with the XC60 offering features like seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping aid, blind spot information system, collision mitigation support, and a 360-degree camera. The SUV also comes with front and rear parking sensors, driver alert control, and hill start assist.
