Hyundai India launched the highly anticipated 2024 Alcazar, a revamped version of its popular 7-seater SUV. The Alcazar, which competes with the Kia Carens, Mahindra XUV 700, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus, has a refreshed design, a host of new features, and powerful engine options.
Inside, the Alcazar features a premium cabin with twin TFT units, a digital dash, smartphone connectivity, connected car tech, ventilated seats, navigation, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, multiple airbags, and ADAS Level 2.
Features: The facelifted Alcazar introduces several new features over its predecessor, including a dual-tone crash pad, ventilated second-row seats, and second-row captain seats with a folding function. Additionally, it offers a driver power seat memory function, an 8-way power-adjustable driver and passenger seat, a digital key, auto-wipers, and dual-zone climate control.
Pricing: The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is competitively priced, with the petrol variant starting at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and the diesel variant at Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Variants and Colour Options: The Alcazar is available in four variants: Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature.
Hyundai has expanded the colour palette to include nine options, including Robust Emerald Matte, Ranger Khaki, and Titan Grey Matte.
Engine Options:
1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine: Generates 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque.
1.5-liter U2 CRDi diesel engine: Delivers 113 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
Interior: The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar has a refined interior with dual-tone colors, ventilated seats for both rows, power-adjustable seats, wireless charging. The second-row captain seats offer additional amenities like a seat-mounted armrest and thigh cushion extension. The cabin's overall ambiance is enhanced by new AC vents and ambient lighting.
Design: The dark chrome radiator grille gives the SUV a sleek, bold look, complemented by quad-beam LED headlamps, sequential LED turn signals, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The bridge-type roof rails and LED tail lamps add a blend of style and practicality, while the horizon LED positioning lamps and H-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) contribute to its futuristic design.
Dimensions: The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar has grown in size, measuring 4560mm in length, 1800mm in width, and 1710mm in height. The wheelbase remains the same at 2760mm. This increase in dimensions provides more headroom and shoulder room for passengers.
Technology: The updated Alcazar will feature over 70 Bluelink connected car capabilities, along with smartwatch and smartphone connectivity. It will also include more than 270 embedded VR commands, 135 Hindi voice commands, and 10 ambient nature sounds for enhanced user experience.
