The most powerful Mini ever, the John Cooper Works (JCW) Countryman All4, has been launched in India at Rs 64.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model will be available across all the authorised Mini India dealerships as a completely built-up unit (CBU). Bookings are open and deliveries will begin soon.

The company describes the JCW range as distinguished by 'exhilarating high-performance inspired by Mini's racing pedigree'. The latest Countryman All4 is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol engine delivering 300hp of maximum power and 400Nm of peak twisting force. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph.

The all-wheel-drive system distributes power precisely to enhance grip and traction. A 7-speed double clutch Steptronic Sport transmission provides efficient and sporty shifts, while a Boost Mode enables rapid bursts of acceleration for overtaking, cornering or launch starts.

The exterior features aerodynamic elements with vertical reflectors, new Mini LED headlights with horizontal bars in JCW signature mode, an octagonal high-gloss black grille and a three-colour JCW logo. Colour choices include Legend Grey and Midnight Black with Chilli Red roof and mirror caps and sport stripes, or British Racing Green with black roof and stripes. Standard 19-inch JCW runway spoke wheels, Chilli Red brake calipers and a quad exhaust flap system reinforce the car's performance identity.

Inside, the cockpit adopts a reduced layout with vertically aligned door handles and air vents. The electronically adjustable JCW sports seats feature Vescin/Cord JCW Black upholstery. A JCW steering wheel with aluminium paddles, JCW dashboard trim and a panoramic glass roof complete the cabin. Rear seats slide 130mm and boot capacity expands from 500 litres to 1,450 litres.

A distinctive Toggle Bar Island houses the start/stop switch, gear selector, experience modes and volume control. The central OLED display uses Mini Operating System 9 and supports touch and voice control through the Mini Intelligent Personal Assistant, activated with 'Hey Mini'. The system integrates navigation, telephony, entertainment and connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other technologies include a head-up display, a 'Fisheye' camera for selfies and videos, Harman Kardon hi-fi sound, and a Mini digital key plus smartphone access.

Drivers can select between Go-Kart, Green and Vivid modes through Mini experience modes, which adjust light, sound and graphics. Assistance systems include cruise control and parking assistant plus with 360-degree camera. Standard safety kit comprises front and side-curtain airbags, ABS, dynamic stability control, cornering brake control, brake assist, crash sensor and tyre pressure indicator.

The model comes with a two-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty and 24x7 roadside assistance. Service inclusive plans start at three years/40,000km and extend up to 10 years/1,00,000km. Warranty can also be extended to a maximum of 10 years.
