Maruti Suzuki Victoris scores 5-star safety rating at Bharat NCAP

The new Victoris gets six airbags and electronic stability control as standard.

The new Maruti Suzuki Victoris has scored a 5-star safety rating at Bharat NCAP, becoming the first SUV and the second model from the country's largest carmaker to achieve such a score.

Earlier, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire scored a 5-star safety rating at Bharat NCAP.

The new Victoris achieved 31.66 points out of 32 in the adult occupant protection (AOP) category and 43 points out of 49 in the child occupant protection (COP) category.

The new SUV from Maruti scored five stars in both AOP and COP categories.

If we talk about the safety aspect, the new Victoris gets six airbags as standard as part of the Arena Safety Shield. It also comes with electronic stability control and seatbelt reminder for all seats as standard. The top-spec variants of the new SUV get Level-2 ADAS as well.

The 5-star safety rating applies to all the variants of the new Victoris, right from the entry-level LXI variant to the top-spec ZXI(O) variant.
