Ather Rizta S with 3.7 kWh battery pack launched at Rs 1,37,047

The Ather Rizta S 3.7 kWh has a claimed range of 159 km (IDC).

Expanding the Rizta electric scooter line-up, Ather Energy has launched the Rizta S with a bigger 3.7 kWh battery pack, offering an extended range of 159 km (IDC). The new variant is priced at Rs 1,37,047 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Ather Rizta has two trims -- S and Z. There are a couple of battery pack options -- 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh.

Earlier, S trim only had the smaller 2.9 kWh battery pack, while Z trim had both 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh battery pack options. Now, both trims are available with both battery packs.

The claimed range for the Rizta with the 2.9 kWh battery pack is 123 km (IDC). With the bigger 3.7 kWh battery pack, the electric scooter is good for 159 km (IDC).

The Ather Rizta S 3.7 kWh comes with features like a 7-inch DeepView display with turn-by-turn navigation, AutoHold, FallSafe, emergency stop signal, tow and theft alerts, find my scooter, and Alexa skills. This variant will also be able to receive OTA updates.

With access to Ather's fast-charging network, the Ather Grid, the Rizta can be charged at over 3,900 charging points across the country. Despite the larger battery, the new variant retains the 34-litre under-seat storage.

Like all Ather scooters, the Rizta S with 3.7 kWh battery pack gets the option of the Ather Eight70 comprehensive warranty programme, which provides an 8-year or 80,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty. Also, it guarantees a minimum 70% battery health over the ownership period.

The bookings for the new Rizta S variant are now open across India through Ather's retail network and online platform. Deliveries are expected to commence this month, with the company scaling production to meet anticipated demand.

The Rizta accounts for over 60% of Ather's total sales and recently crossed the 1,00,000 units milestone within a year of launch. Apart from Rizta, Ather sells the 450 and the 450 Apex electric scooters.
