Renault India today launched the 2025 Kiger facelift in the country at an introductory starting price of Rs 6.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Kiger boasts over 35 enhancements, featuring a refreshed exterior and interior design and additional safety features.
“We are excited to launch the new Kiger in a segment which is growing fastest and contributes 50% to the SUV sales and 31% to the TIV of the country,” said Venkatram Mamillapalle, MD and CEO, Renault India.
“The Kiger has been a unique product in its segment, and with this latest evolution, we are reaffirming our commitment to making expressive design, intelligent engineering, and real-world performance accessible to Indian customers. This marks a pivotal moment in Renault’s India centric transformation journey renault.rethink,” he added.
The powertrain options are same as before. The SUV gets two E-20 compliant engine options -- 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (72PS and 96Nm) and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (100PS and 160Nm). The transmission options include 5-speed MT and AMT with the naturally aspirated unit, and 5-speed MT and CVT with the turbo-petrol unit.
Talking about the new exterior design, the front fascia looks sleeker than ever with a redesigned nose that features a new grille, flanked by redesigned LED headlamps. The front also has LED DRLs and LED fog lamps. The sculpted hood with Renault’s new logo gives the SUV a premium touch. The rear has redesigned LED taillamps. Renault has refurbished the front and rear bumpers, even adding new skid plates at both ends.
Additionally, the exterior gets new side door decals and C-pillar decals, new side scuttles with TURBO inscription for turbo variants, new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and ORVMs and door handles in new Mystery Black colour. Renault has also introduced two new exterior colour tones - Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey.
Inside the cabin, you now get ventilated front seats, which is quite unique for this segment, and light leatherette seat upholstery. Taking the centre stage on the dash is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is a multi-view camera system, which comes in handy while parking the car.
Other notable interior features include 3D Arkamys surround sound with six speakers, a cooled glove box, multiple USB charging points, and rear AC vents. Renault has also provided automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers with the new Kiger.
The new Kiger facelift offers as many as 21 standard safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control system, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, 3-point seat belt for every seat, and ISOFIX child seat anchorage. The SUV is based on Renault’s CMFA+ platform.
