Google on October 9 unveiled Gemini Enterprise, a new artificial intelligence (AI) platform designed to bring the company’s most advanced AI tools together at a single place for employees to use in their daily work.
With this offering, Google looks to take on rivals like Microsoft and OpenAI in the rapidly growing market for workplace AI tools.
"What we're doing is bringing AI to every user by providing them a single front door through which they can chat with all of their enterprise data, search for information and use agents to do a variety of tasks on their behalf," said Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian.
"We're democratising how people can access AI and bring the power of enterprise chat connectivity to enterprise sources, pre-packaged agents and search to every user and every company," Kurian said.
What does Gemini Enterprise offer?
Built with Google’s Gemini AI models, Gemini Enterprise enables employees to chat with their company’s documents, data, and applications, using both organisational information and their personal work context.
It also provides no-code and low-code tools to build and deploy AI agents, along with access to a suite of pre-built agents from Google, including Deep Research, NotebookLM, and Coding Agents, as well as third-party developers through a marketplace.
Gemini Enterprise bring Google's most advanced AI tools together for employees to use in their daily work.
Kurian said these agents can be used across departments, from marketing to sales and finance, to analyse information and automate workflows and processes within organisations. This is managed with a central governance framework, so one can visualise, secure, and audit all of their agents from a single place.
Gemini Enterprise can also connect to data from office applications such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, business platforms including Salesforce and SAP, as well as coding tools.
Kurian said the company is working with a broad ecosystem of more than 100,000 partners to connect their applications and systems to Gemini Enterprise, as well as to build pre-packaged agents for a wide range of domains and industries.
Google's full stack approach to AI
Gemini Enterprise is the latest example of Google’s full-stack approach to AI, in which the tech giant is investing in every layer of the AI technology stack: research, products and platforms, models and tooling, and AI infrastructure.
"Gemini Enterprise is the entry point for organisations to access our full-stack innovations, and we’re excited to see how it helps teams do even more with AI," said Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
How much does Gemini Enterprise cost?
The standard Gemini Enterprise plan, which includes enterprise-grade IT controls, starts at $30 per seat per month. Google also offers a cheaper Gemini Business plan for small businesses and teams within organisations for $21 per seat per month.
Google Cloud's growing customer momentum
The launch of Gemini Enterprise comes amid growing enterprise customer momentum for Google Cloud. Kurian said that nine of the world’s top ten AI labs run on Google Cloud and nearly every AI unicorn uses the company's cloud products.
He added that 65 percent of Google Cloud’s existing customers are already using the company’s AI products to transform their businesses. Customers who use Google’s AI technology typically adopt one and a half times more Google Cloud products than those who do not, he said.
Who are the customers of Gemini Enterprise?
Among the early customers of Gemini Enterprise include Virgin Voyages, Macquarie Bank, and Gordon Food Service. The company stated that organisations such as Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, KPMG, and PwC are also making announcements today on their internal adoption and expanded services for Gemini Enterprise.
Google Cloud surpassed a $50 billion annual revenue run rate in the second quarter of 2025, with 13 product lines each generating more than $1 billion in annual revenue.
