Kalyan-Ahmednagar railway link survey nears completion

Thane, Jun 16 (PTI) With the survey on proposed Dahanu-Nashik rail link nearing completion, a similar exercise for another rail link between Kalyan-Ahmednagar is in the progress. The Railway Board has informed RTI activist Om Prakash Sharma that the survey for 240-km route is in progress and likely to be completed soon. It also said that the route, cost and stations of the proposed line would be known only after the survey was completed. The proposed railway link between Kalyan and Ahmednagar will be routed through Kalyan-Ambernath-Murbad-Otur to Ahmednagar with 26 stations on route.
