Inox Leisure Q2 down 92.5% to Rs 1.59 crore

Multiplex operator Inox Leisure today reported a decline of 92.56 per cent in its consolidated standalone net profit to Rs 1.58 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

    Multiplex operator Inox Leisure today reported a decline of 92.56 per cent in its consolidated standalone net profit to Rs 1.58 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

    The company had reported a net profit of Rs 21.24 crore in the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal, Inox Leisure said in a BSE filing.

    Net sales during the period under review was down 3.12 per cent to Rs 278.76 crore as against Rs 287.76 crore of the corresponding period of last fiscal.

    Inox Leisure's total expenses was up 290.96 crore during the quarter as against Rs 270.88 crore.

    In the first half of 2016-17, Inox Leisure's consolidated net profit was down 42.97 per cent to Rs 26.53 crore as against Rs 46.52 crore a year ago.

    Net sales in the first half of the current fiscal was up 4.10 per cent at Rs 600.32 crore as against Rs 576.63 crore in the same period last year.

    Inox Leisure operates 440 screens in 57 cities.

    Shares of Inox Leisure today settled at Rs 263 on BSE, down 1.35 per cent from previous close.
