CBSE class XII results declared, girls leave boys behind

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared results of Senior School Certificate Examination 2013 (Class XII) on Monday. This year too girls have outshined the boys.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class XII results on Monday. This year too girls have outshined the boys, the pass percentage for girls was 87 per cent while pass percentage for boys was 77 per cent.

The combined pass percentage is 82 per cent, which is up by 10 per cent from 2012. The zone with the highest pass percentage is Chennai where 91 per cent of students have cleared their exams.


Over nine lakh students appeared for class 12 board exam this year. The CBSE board will also be providing tele-counselling to students from May 27 to June 10.


The results are available on the following websites - www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in

The students can also call up on the following numbers to check the results - 011-24300699, 011-28127030. The students can also register for SMS alert.
