Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on February 25, that 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in action in the two years since Russia launched its full-scale invasion. The Ukrainian leader refused to disclose the number of troops that were wounded. It is the first time that Kyiv has confirmed the number of its losses since Moscow started the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. However, Zelenskyy’s tally differs sharply from what the New York Times reported in August 2023, when it cited US officials as saying that close to 70,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the newly constructed BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi, which is also first Hindu temple of the UAE. On Feb 7th, at least 25 individuals lost their lives and 42 were wounded in two destructive bomb explosions targeting election facilities in Pakistan's turbulent Balochistan province, just a day ahead of the general elections in the politically unstable nation. The initial incident involved a powerful explosion outside the office of independent candidate Asfandyar Khan Kakar in Pishin district, resulting in the deaths of 17 individuals and injuring 30 others. Less than an hour later, another bomb explosion occurred outside the election office of a Jamiat-Ulema Islam-Pakistan candidate in the Killa Abdullah area, claiming the lives of eight individuals and injuring 12 more.

Germany is all set to launch a four-day work week from February 1. Over 45 firms in the country will try a four-day work week system for six months. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected Hamas proposal to end the war. The war began over 100 days ago; since then, more than 25,000 Palestinians and 24 Israeli soldiers have been killed.
