US President Donald Trump's "Gold Card," offering permanent US residency in exchange for a $5 million payment from foreign investors, is now open for business.

Trump announced the major development on Truth Social, stating that for five million dollars, individuals can obtain access to what is called “The Trump Card."

Trump on his Truth Social account shared a link in his post that takes user to a page titled “The Trump Card is coming".

Interested people can enter their name, country of origin, whether they are an individual or a business, and their email address.

"Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World," he wrote on his Truth Social platform.

First introduced by Trump in April, the card is golden and features images of Donald Trump alongside the Statue of Liberty.

The newly launched website, 'trumpcard.gov,' features an image of the gold-colored card bearing Trump's portrait. It is now accepting applications from eight regions: Europe, Asia (including the Middle East), North America, Oceania, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and Africa.

What is Trump's gold card?

Trump unveiled the card in April and initially stated the visa program would launch within two weeks; however, it has not yet officially started. The new website indicates that registered individuals will be notified once access becomes available.

He described the card as a high-priced alternative to the traditional green card, aimed at attracting job creators and helping reduce the national deficit. He suggested it could replace the EB-5 investor visa, potentially generating up to $1 million in sales to help retire national debt.

The EB-5 visa requires an investment of $800,000 to $1.05 million to secure a green card, funding US job creation. When first proposing the idea in February, Trump said his administration hoped to sell around a million cards and did not exclude Russian oligarchs from eligibility.
