Terrifying video shows Boeing plane avoiding major tragedy in Indonesia: Watch

A major air disaster was narrowly avoided at Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang after a Batik Air Boeing 737 encountered extreme weather while attempting to land.

The terrifying incident, which was caught on camera, took place amid torrential rain and powerful winds. The video has gone viral across social media platforms.

The aircraft, identified as Flight PK-LDJ, experienced severe turbulence upon touching down on the runway.

According to eyewitnesses, the plane tilted sharply to one side, with one of its wings coming dangerously close to scraping the ground — a moment that sparked panic among onlookers at the airport.

Despite the treacherous conditions, the pilot managed to regain control of the aircraft just in time, skillfully steering it back on course and bringing it to a safe stop.

The quick-thinking manoeuvre averted what could have turned into a catastrophic crash involving another Boeing plane just days after the Air India tragedy in Ahmedabad.

The video of the incident shows the aircraft shuddering on the runway, struggling to maintain balance as the violent crosswinds pushed it off its axis.

The chilling visuals have sparked widespread discussions about the increasing frequency of weather-related aviation risks.

On June 12, a London-bound Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner plane crashed just 32 seconds after taking off from the Ahmedabad airport, killing 241 people on board and leaving just one survivor. The plane crashed into a hostel block of BJ Medical College in Meghani Nagar, killing several others on the ground.
