A video of Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif delivering a speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York has gone viral, with netizens criticizing his address as “disastrous” due to multiple verbal slips.

The speech, which focused largely on Artificial Intelligence (AI), also referenced recent tensions between India and Pakistan. Observers noted that Asif fumbled seven times during the address.

At one point, he mispronounced the word “risk” as “riks” and repeatedly mentioned AI, causing viewers to highlight the inconsistencies in his delivery.

Asif also referred to the conflict between India and Pakistan in May, which followed a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, carried out by Pakistan-based terrorists. In response, India launched Operation Sindoor targeting terror infrastructure.

The speech has drawn widespread attention online, with social media users pointing out the repeated mistakes and labeling the address as a major blunder for Pakistan’s representative at the UN.
