Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that recent attacks on Gulf nations were “just a warning” and vowed a “much more painful response” if Iranian industries are targeted.
“These attacks are a warning, and if the attack on Iranian industries is repeated, the next response will be much more painful by attacking the main infrastructure of the occupation regime and the American economic industries in the region,” the IRGC said, according to Iranian state media.
The strikes targeted steel and aluminum plants in the UAE and Bahrain, with reports of severe damage to the EGA plant in the UAE and two injuries at the Aluminium Bahrain facility. The IRGC claimed responsibility, citing alleged ties between the facilities and the US military.
Meanwhile, the highway bridge connecting Tehran and Karaj has been struck again, according to Iran’s Fars news agency. The attack occurred while rescue teams were assisting those injured in the previous strike, and officials urged the public to avoid the area. Earlier US-Israeli strikes on the bridge had killed two and wounded several others.
In a related development, US President Donald Trump said Thursday that Washington is prepared to “hit them extremely hard” and is planning to intensify military action against Iran in the coming weeks.
“Tonight, I’m pleased to say that these core strategic objectives are nearing completion. We are going to finish the job. We are getting very close,” he said, adding that Iran’s Navy and Air Force are “gone” and their missiles “just about used up or beaten.” Trump said the US actions aim to cripple Iran’s military, limit support for proxies, and prevent nuclear weapons development.
