The Taliban has reportedly dropped a song against the Pakistan Army, calling it "ungrateful and a "slave" to foreign powers, especially Washington.
The song has been sung in Urdu, being seen as an informed move possibly to reach a wider and relevant audience.
Sharing the song on social media platform X, Sonam Mahajan, a writer for Rising Kashmir, stated, "The Taliban drop a song calling the Pakistan Army ungrateful, hypocritical slaves of foreign powers with poor human rights records, making them enemies of Islam. And it’s brilliant."

"What a cost-effective and clever idea, undoing years of propaganda that the ISPR has peddled, misusing billions of rupees in taxpayer money to build the Army’s image. And the choice to produce it in Urdu is also telling, a deliberate and informed decision made with the wider reach of the language in mind," she added.

Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions
The fights erupted after Kabul accused the Pakistani government of conducting airstrikes on Afghan territory in mid-October. The Taliban Defense Ministry subsequently and swiftly carried out attacks on Pakistani military posts along the border.
Islamabad has continuously accused the Taliban of enabling its Pakistani Taliban unit (TTP), allowing them to operate in Afghanistan and launch attacks into Pakistan. Kabul, however, denies these accusations, conversely insisting that Pakistan harbors terrorists.
Following the tensions, peace talks mediated by Turkey last resulted in no deal. Now, Afghanistan and Pakistan plan to resume peace talks on November 6 in Istanbul. These peace talks come amidst a temporary halting of violence established in Doha on October 19.
