This follows National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week, coming after US President Donald Trump announced an additional 25 percent tariff on Indian exports in response to New Delhi’s ongoing crude oil purchases from Moscow, raising the total tariff to 50 percent.
During his visit to Russia, Doval also mentioned that Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit India by the end of 2025. "We are very excited and delighted to learn about the visit of President Putin to India. I think that the dates are almost finalised now," Doval said.
