Donald Trump Jr., son of US President Donald Trump, visited Gujarat as a guest of the Ambani family, touring temples and Vantara, the wildlife rescue and rehabilitation initiative led by Anant Ambani in Jamnagar.
Accompanied by Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Trump Jr. toured the sprawling 3,000-acre Vantara campus, which is built adjacent to the Reliance Jamnagar Refinery Complex.
He was briefed on Vantara’s pioneering conservation and animal welfare programmes, which form a major part of Reliance Industries’ philanthropic initiatives. The centre provides specialised care for injured, distressed, and endangered animals from across India and abroad.

The facility includes a state-of-the-art animal hospital and research centre spanning over one lakh square feet, equipped with MRI and CT scan units, an ICU, endoscopy suites, dialysis support, and advanced OR1 surgical technology.
Vantara has also been instrumental in rescuing nearly 200 leopards injured in road accidents or human–wildlife conflicts, and has relocated over 1,000 crocodiles from an overcrowded facility in Tamil Nadu.
Following his tour of Vantara, Trump Jr. visited local temples in Jamnagar, offering prayers to Lord Ganesh alongside Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
A video clip shows him standing barefoot inside the temple, following Anant Ambani’s gesture of bowing in prayer. Radhika Merchant was also present during the visit.
Later in the evening, Trump Jr., accompanied by his girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, attended a private dandiya event hosted by the Ambani family, joining the Ambanis in the traditional Gujarati dance.
As part of his India visit, Donald Trump Jr. also toured the Taj Mahal under tight security. He spent nearly an hour exploring the monument, asking his guide several questions about its architecture. He was accompanied by a group of 126 special guests from nearly 40 countries during the visit.
