Iran launched a barrage of missiles at Israeli cities on Monday, targeting major cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa, raising the country’s death toll by 11 on Day 4 of an escalating war.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards said it had "successfully" struck Israel with a salvo of missiles and warned of "effective, targeted and more devastating operations" to come.
The Iranian attacks hit Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva and Haifa -- with shattered homes, smouldering wreckage and stunned residents picking through debris.
The Revolutionary Guards said the latest attack employed a new method that caused Israel’s multi-layered defence systems to target each other and allowed Tehran to successfully hit many targets, without providing further details.

The Israeli Defence Force did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the strikes. Israeli officials have repeatedly said its "Iron Dome" defence system is not 100% and warned of tough days ahead, reported Reuters.
Video footage showed several missiles over Tel Aviv and explosions could be heard there and over Jerusalem. Several residential buildings in a densely populated neighbourhood of Tel Aviv were destroyed in a strike that blew out the windows of hotels and other nearby homes just a few hundred metres from the US Embassy branch in the city.
The Iron Dome is Israel’s mobile, all-weather air defense system designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets, artillery shells, and drones fired from distances of 4 to 70 kilometers. Developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems with support from the United States, Iron Dome has become a critical shield for Israel against missile barrages from adversaries like Hamas, Hezbollah, and more recently, Iran.
The system uses radar to detect incoming projectiles and calculates whether they pose a threat to populated areas; only then does it fire a Tamir interceptor missile to neutralize the threat mid-air.
