The recent meeting between US President Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammad Bin Salman is considered vastly a success by both sides, barring a few issues of human rights and arms sale.
However, there may have been a few for whom the meeting would have left a sour taste.
MBS ended his speech by revealing that there are few betting websites where bets could have been placed on whether he will wear a suit to the White House.
“Before I came here someone told me that there are betting sites where you can bet on me wearing a black suit and if you bet on me you could get almost a 17x. Sorry, you lose the bet. Better luck next time" Salman said, which left Trump laughing.

The comments were probably made in reference to a heated spat in February this year between Trump’s team and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy over the latter not wearing a suit.
A conservative reported had asked Zelenskyy, who was visiting highest US office, why he is not wearing a suit. Zelenskyy had replied that he will wear a suit only after the war with Russia ends. Later, in another visit in August, Zelenskyy turned up in a all-black jacket and the same reported said he looks “fabulous in that suit”.
Trump gave MBS a lavish welcome for the Middle Eastern nation’s de facto ruler. This was also the first trip for MBS to the US after the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.
