A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Pakistan's Islamabad around 1 PM on Saturday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The quake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km, and strong tremors were felt across parts of Jammu and Kashmir as well.

Local media reports from Pakistan indicate that there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties in the capital, though further information is awaited.
Earlier in the day, the region experienced two minor earthquakes: a 4.2-magnitude quake in Tajikistan at 12:24 PM IST, and a 3.3-magnitude tremor in Pakistan at 11:55 AM IST.
