A nearly 10-minute video footage of the Bondi Beach shooting has surfaced, showing some of the most harrowing scenes from the mass shooting at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, where gunmen opened fire on crowds attending a Jewish Hanukkah celebration on Sunday evening.
The footage, now circulating online, shows two armed men firing multiple shots amid screams and chaos as people fled for cover. New South Wales Police and emergency services rushed to the scene, and dramatic confrontations unfolded between the assailants and responding officers.

Police and eyewitness accounts indicate that the shooters opened fire near Campbell Parade and a pedestrian bridge close to the beach, where hundreds had gathered for the “Chanukah by the Sea” event, marking the first day of the Hanukkah festival.
The video clip shows one of the gunmen firing from an elevated position before being disarmed by a civilian who tackled him and seized his weapon. In other public footage, officers are seen engaging in what appears to be a prolonged exchange of gunfire with the attackers. The situation was chaotic, with bystanders screaming and taking shelter as shots echoed across the crowded beachfront.
Authorities confirmed that at least 11 people were killed in the attack and around 29 others were wounded, including first responders. At least one of the gunmen was killed by police gunfire, and the second was taken into custody in critical condition.
Police initially urged members of the public in the area to take shelter and avoid the scene as officers worked to secure the area. The NSW Police later stated that the active threat had been neutralised and that two suspects were in custody, but comprehensive investigations and emergency responses continued.
The shooting has been widely condemned by community leaders and political figures, with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese calling the attack “shocking and distressing” and vowing national unity and support for those affected.
