Closer home, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport also has plenty to celebrate too, emerging as the Best Airport in India and South Asia while improving its global standing.
Singapore Changi leads the world—again

What the awards are based on
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are considered among the most respected in the aviation industry. The rankings are based on a global passenger survey conducted over seven months, covering travellers from more than 100 nationalities. Passengers rate airports on key factors such as service quality, facilities, comfort and overall experience, making the results a reliable reflection of what travellers actually feel.
What it means for travellers
For Indian travellers, Delhi Airport’s consistent performance is good news—especially for those flying in and out of one of the country’s busiest hubs. At the same time, the continued dominance of Asian airports shows how much the region is investing in making travel smoother, more comfortable and even enjoyable.
From seamless immigration to better dining and cleaner terminals, airports today are no longer just transit points—they’re becoming a key part of the travel experience itself.
