Saudi Arabia has launched "Ramadan Lights," an initiative aimed at offering tourists an immersive cultural experience during the holy month of Ramadan. As part of the country’s broader global tourism campaign, "This Land is Calling," this initiative highlights key destinations, including Riyadh, Jeddah, AlUla, and the Saudi Red Sea, inviting travelers to witness the unique vibrancy of Ramadan.

Visitors can explore historic districts such as Jeddah’s Al Balad, Riyadh’s Diriyah, and AlUla’s ancient sites. These locations offer a blend of culinary and cultural attractions that showcase Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage.

Key Destinations to Explore in Saudi Arabia During Ramadan

Jeddah: Known for its diverse Ramadan delicacies and vibrant Ramadan tents, the city offers cultural experiences like the Al Falah Square Bazaar, where visitors can enjoy shopping and traditional entertainment.

AlUla: A serene retreat for reflection, the region provides nature-inspired experiences, including Ramadan events at Al-Manishiyah Square and visits to Bukhoor Road, famous for its aromatic coffee and artisanal goods.

Riyadh: The capital city hosts traditional markets like Souk Al Zal, renowned for its incense, textiles, and artifacts. Special events such as Ghabga gatherings offer a mix of entertainment, food, and cultural performances.

Saudi Red Sea: For those seeking relaxation or adventure, the coastal region offers a mix of beach horse riding, paddleboarding, kitesurfing, and wellness retreats.

Simplified Travel for Indian Visitors

Saudi Arabia has made travel more accessible for Indian tourists, with over 330 direct flights from India operated by airlines including SAUDIA, FlyNas, Air India, Air India Express, Indigo, and SpiceJet. Travelers with valid visas from the USA, UK, or Schengen countries can obtain an eVisa or visa on arrival at Saudi airports. Additionally, the Saudi Stopover Visa, valid for up to 96 hours, enables travelers to explore the country while in transit.

With a range of unique experiences—from historic landmarks to bustling markets and coastal retreats—Saudi Arabia is positioning itself as a key Ramadan destination, blending tradition with modern hospitality for visitors from around the world.
