The Rann Utsav 2025–26 has returned with a grander vision, promising travellers an even richer experience of Kutch’s culture, history, and landscape. The festival, which began on October 23, 2025, will continue until March 4, 2026, offering an extended celebration that goes beyond the White Rann of Dhordo to include Dholavira, the UNESCO World Heritage Site representing the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation.
Organised by Eyak Ventures Pvt. Ltd. under its flagship brand Evoke Experiences, this year’s theme — “Adhura Nahi Pura Kutch Dekhiye” — encourages visitors to explore the entire region rather than limiting their journey to Dhordo. The expansion aims to create a complete Kutch experience, blending the cultural vibrancy of Dhordo with the archaeological significance of Dholavira.
Dholavira Joins the Rann Utsav Experience
Evoke Experiences now manages both Rann Utsav – The Tent City (Dhordo) and the newly launched White Rann Tent City at Dholavira, along with the year-round Evoke Dholavira property. Designed on a Harappan civilisation theme, the Dholavira tent city offers a unique stay experience where rooms, decor, and public spaces draw inspiration from the Indus Valley era.
Guests can explore nearby attractions such as the Harappan excavation site, Fossil Park, Dholavira Museum, and the spectacular “Road through Heaven.” Family-friendly activities like archery, bull rides, high-rope courses, trampolines, water rollers, and cricket zones make it a perfect getaway for all age groups. Evenings come alive with stargazing sessions, cycling tours, and spa experiences under the desert sky.
New Attractions at Dhordo
At Rann Utsav – The Tent City, travellers can look forward to new additions including a toddler area for families, an open-air cinema showcasing films under the stars, and storytelling sessions by bonfires that revive Kutch’s rich folklore. A sustainability stall will highlight eco-friendly practices like waste segregation and recycling, aligning with the festival’s strong environmental commitment.
Adding to the experience, the festival introduces “Mitram,” a personalised guest-assistance service exclusive to The Tent City. Acting as a personal guide, Mitram will help guests navigate activities, events, and logistics seamlessly from check-in to check-out.
Sustainability at the Heart of Rann Utsav
The festival continues to champion eco-friendly tourism through LED-powered tents, plastic crusher installations, improved waste management systems, and regular cleanliness drives across the fragile salt desert ecosystem.
By expanding its reach to Dholavira, Evoke Experiences has transformed Rann Utsav into more than just a desert festival — it’s now an immersive cultural journey through time, from the vibrant folk traditions of modern Kutch to the ancient mysteries of the Harappan civilisation.
