
President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday inaugurated the Winter Annuals Edition 2026 of Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan, marking the opening of one of the capital’s most popular seasonal attractions.
The gardens will be open to the public from February 3 to March 31, 2026, offering visitors a chance to explore the meticulously landscaped grounds during the peak winter bloom season.
Amrit Udyan will remain open six days a week from 10 am to 6 pm, with last entry at 5 pm. The garden will be closed on Mondays for maintenance and on March 4 on account of Holi.

Entry free, online booking compulsory
Entry to Amrit Udyan is free, but visitors must book their slots online in advance through the official portal visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in. Authorities have confirmed that no on-the-spot booking facility will be available this year.
Bookings for a particular date will close at 10 am on the previous day, and visitors are advised to adhere strictly to the time slot and instructions mentioned on their tickets.
Special entry days announced
To ensure wider access, Rashtrapati Bhavan has earmarked specific days for select visitor categories:
March 3: Defence personnel.
March 5: Senior citizens.
March 10: Women and tribal women’s self-help groups.
March 13: Divyangjan.

What’s new at Amrit Udyan this season
Alongside its much-loved display of tulips and diverse rose varieties, the Winter Annuals Edition 2026 introduces two new attractions:
Babbling Brook, a landscaped water stream with cascading features.
Banyan Garden, designed with reflexology pathways for visitors.
The prescribed visitor route takes guests through Bal Vatika, Plumeria Garden, Banyan Garden, Bonsai Garden, Babbling Brook, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden, offering a carefully curated walk through the estate’s most scenic sections.
Entry point, shuttle service and visitor facilities
Entry and exit for all visitors will be through Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, located near North Avenue. To facilitate smooth access, a shuttle bus service will run every 30 minutes from Central Secretariat Metro Station between 9.30 am and 6 pm. The last shuttle from the metro station will depart at 4 pm.
Visitors are allowed to carry mobile phones, handbags, water bottles, electronic keys and milk bottles for infants. Facilities such as drinking water, toilets and first-aid services will be available along the public route.

Beyond Amrit Udyan
Visitors can also explore Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum from Tuesday to Sunday. The ceremonial Change-of-Guard continues to take place every Saturday at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
