YouTube has announced various creation tools for Shorts creators. This includes improvements to the video editor, allowing creators to make exact short videos synced to the beat of the music track they have selected. This makes it easier to craft short-form videos according to the user’s demand. There is also a new option for creating stickers using AI, which can be included in a Shorts video, with the help of user prompts.
YouTube Shorts new creation toolsVadim Lavrusik, Group Product Manager for YouTube Shorts Creation, through a new blog post, listed out all the new creation tools for Shorts. The first is the inclusion of a revamped video editor that enables creators to zoom, snap, rearrange, and delete clips for improved precision. Moreover, the video editor will allow users to add timed text to their Shorts video or add music inside the editor. This could reduce their reliance on additional apps.
Further, YouTube is making it easier to add music to Shorts, allowing creators to pick a song and have their video clips automatically synchronize to the rhythm instead of manually aligning them to a beat. YouTube is also adding support for two forms of stickers on Shorts. Image stickers can be selected and added from a creator's gallery to the video editor. Creators will also soon be able to type in a prompt and the app will generate AI stickers that can be used on Shorts.
YouTube is adding improved templates that now support photo integration directly from a user’s gallery, with effects to be added soon. Using templates to create Shorts will also be much easier when using the in-app editor. As for availability, these new features are expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks.
