Xiaomi's Mix series is known to push the boundaries of Android smartphone design, with innovative and flagship-grade hardware. The series was initially kicked off in 2016, and all the devices in the lineup are known to offer a true all-screen smartphone without a hole-punch or pill-shaped cutout for selfies. However, the last phone in the series, the Mix 4, was launched in 2021. Now, the latest leaks suggest that Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new Mix series smartphone soon, which is likely to be called the Mix 5.
Xiaomi Mix 5 could launch soon: Key details
According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station via Weibo, Xiaomi has plans to launch a full-screen smartphone with an under-screen selfie camera. The leaker also claims the technology has advanced over the past few years, and a mass-produced model with that feature is effectively certain to launch in the coming months. The tipster also gave a weird ‘98.3721%’ possibility for this to happen.
Additionally, another tipster on X, named Kartikey Singh, has reaffirmed this rumour and claims that Xiaomi will bring the Mix 5 smartphone to the market soon. This smartphone is expected to be a direct successor to the Mix 4, and will continue with the lineup's original goal of delivering flagship hardware with an innovative full-screen design.
All these rumours indicate that Xiaomi’s Mix series could launch soon, and may not be limited to the Chinese market only. As mentioned earlier, the Mix 4 was unveiled in 2021, and it was Xiaomi's first smartphone to come with an under-display camera. Further, it was powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC and comes with a triple camera setup at the back.
