Xbox Games Showcase 2025

Xbox made several major announcements during its annual Games Showcase, headlined by the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The event also featured the surprise launch of Final Fantasy 16 on Xbox, early details on Forza Horizon 6, and new titles like Aniimo and Persona 4 Revival. Held ahead of the Summer Game Fest week, the showcase focused on upcoming Game Pass titles and major third-party releases, while offering a glimpse at what’s next for Xbox hardware and services.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is officially revealed
The biggest moment of the showcase was the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The cinematic trailer teased a global threat and referenced previous Black Ops titles. A 2025 launch was confirmed across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, with Game Pass support at launch.

Final Fantasy 16 is out now on Xbox
Square Enix surprised fans with an immediate launch of Final Fantasy 16 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. It’s also playable on Xbox Cloud Gaming starting today. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade arrives later in 2025.

Forza Horizon 6 teased for 2026
Though no gameplay was shown, Phil Spencer teased Forza Horizon 6 in a montage of titles set for 2026. The next open-world racer is in development and targeting Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Elder Scrolls 6 still a no-show
Bethesda’s long-anticipated RPG didn’t make an appearance. Xbox acknowledged the wait but offered no updates on its development.

Aniimo announced with 2026 release
Aniimo introduces a creature-based exploration game where players can transform into fantastical beings. Developed by Pawprint Studio, it launches in 2026 for Xbox and PC.

Persona 4 Revival remake is in development
Atlus announced Persona 4 Revival, a remake of the fan-favorite RPG. A teaser confirmed new visuals and battle mechanics.

Hollow Knight: Silksong arrives with Xbox handheld
Silksong will be a launch title for the ROG Xbox Ally X handheld, releasing in early 2025. It will be included with Game Pass.

The Outer Worlds 2 set for October 2025
Obsidian’s sequel was given a new story trailer and release date — October 2025 — with Game Pass availability confirmed.

DOOM: The Dark Ages premieres
id Software unveiled DOOM: The Dark Ages, a medieval take on the fast-paced shooter franchise. It launches in 2026.

State of Decay 3 gets new gameplay trailer
