Xbox Game Pass February update: Avowed, Madden NFL 25, and more

Xbox has announced the latest Game Pass additions for February, featuring a mix of highly anticipated releases and returning titles. This month’s lineup includes Obsidian’s upcoming RPG Avowed as a day-one release, along with Madden NFL 25, Another Crab’s Treasure, and more.

Avowed, a first-person action RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, will launch directly on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on February 18. Known for developing Fallout: New Vegas, Obsidian’s latest title is set in a new fantasy world but maintains ties to the Pillars of Eternity universe. The game’s instant availability for subscribers makes it one of the most notable additions this month.

EA Sports’ latest football simulation, Madden NFL 25, will be available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers starting February 6. Despite sharing its title with the 2013 release, this is the newest entry in the long-running franchise, bringing updated rosters and gameplay enhancements.

The indie souls-like Another Crab’s Treasure will be accessible to Standard Game Pass users on February 5. Previously available only for Ultimate subscribers, this challenging action game offers a unique take on the genre, replacing dark settings with a colourful underwater world where players control a crab seeking its lost shell.

Far Cry New Dawn, the 2019 post-apocalyptic first-person shooter, is already available for all Game Pass tiers. Set after a nuclear catastrophe, this spin-off in the Far Cry series brings an open-world experience with survival elements.

Several titles previously restricted to Ultimate subscribers are now coming to the Standard tier. These include Starfield and Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, both arriving on February 5. Starfield, Bethesda’s space exploration RPG, was a major release in 2023, and its inclusion in the Standard tier broadens its accessibility.
